The District Chief Executive for Afigya Kwabre South, Hon. Patricia Pearl Ankrah, together with a team of technocrats, conducted a two-day inspection of ongoing projects across the district on February 3 and 4 to assess progress, ensure safety compliance, and verify working conditions.
The projects, which are at various stages of completion, are expected to improve the socio-economic well-being of residents. On the first day, the team visited a six-unit classroom block at Afrancho, the Buoho-Wioso Health Center, the renovated Skilled Training Center at Kodie, and a Kindergarten block at Buosie.
The second day focused on the inspection of 30 mechanized boreholes and hand pumps in several communities, including Ebom-Bomfa, Akrowa, Tabuom, Edwenease, Swedru Kwayemu, Mposu, Aboabogya, Akwaasu, Mpobi, and Ankaase West.
After the tour, Hon. Ankrah met with contractors and commended Prudent Link Company for completing ten projects on schedule to enhance access to clean water. She, however, raised concerns about the siting of a mechanized borehole at Ebom, stressing the need for thorough feasibility studies.
District Engineer Joseph Dadzi urged contractors to expedite delayed projects, warning that contracts could be terminated if deadlines are not met. Hon. Ankrah reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to accountability and ensuring that all projects deliver meaningful benefits to residents.
