PROFILE OF AFIGYA KWABRE SOUTH DISTRICT HEALTH DIRECTORATE

The District Health Directorate is headed by District Director of Health Service who provides supervision, technical and management support as well as champion the implementation of health policies and programmes in the district and sub-districts. The Afigya Kwabre South Health Directorate is located just behind the District Education Office. Politically, there are 6 sub-districts, namely, Afrancho, Atimatim, Aboabogya, Ankaase, Brofoyedu and Kodie.

There are seven units under the District Director:

1. District Administrative Officer headed by Ms. Louisa Boateng.
2. The District Disease Control Officer headed by Mr. Robert Mpoan
3. The District Health Information Officer headed by Mr. Umarl Mohammed
4. The District Health Promotion Officer headed by Mr. Emmanuel Boakye
5. The District Public Health Nurse headed by Ms. Rosemary Owusu
6. The District Nutrition Officer headed by Mrs. Evelyn Dadson
7. The District Accountant headed by Mr. Frank Kyei-Mensah
