The Afigya Kwabre South District Assembly convened its Third Ordinary General Assembly Meeting on 22nd December 2025, bringing together the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Patricia Pearl Ankrah, Assembly Members, the District Police Commander, and Assembly staff.

Discussions focused on security, ongoing development projects, and the adoption of the Executive Committee’s report. Assembly Members raised key concerns, including the construction of the Mowire Bridge, the need for a toilet facility at Atimatim, and the completion of stalled projects such as the Buoho and Sasa markets.
Hon. Ankrah stressed the importance of monitoring projects and ensuring developers obtain the necessary building permits. She also announced several initiatives, including mechanized boreholes for selected communities and new projects funded through the District Assembly Common Fund, such as classroom blocks, a health centre at Ntiribuoho, a CHPS compound at Dumakyi, and a public toilet at Hemang.
Additional projects under the Quarry Development Fund include the completion of a 14-unit classroom block at Buoho, the construction of a police station at Ntiribuoho, renovation works at Mowire, and new bridges and health facilities. The DCE further revealed that work on a proposed 24-hour market is expected to begin on 14th January 2026, while expansion works are ongoing at Sasa School to reduce overcrowding.
On security, District Police Commander Superintendent Joseph Attamah highlighted the need for functional streetlights and assured residents of intensified efforts to combat crime. However, he noted challenges such as the lack of patrol vehicles and communication barriers with some foreign drivers, which complicate enforcement of road regulations.
