The Afigya Kwabre South District Education Directorate has successfully held the second edition of its Best Teachers and Educational Workers Awards Ceremony at the Afrancho Church of Pentecost, in recognition of teachers’ hard work, commitment, and passion for the teaching profession.

The awards scheme, instituted by the Directorate, seeks to motivate teachers and educational workers whose dedication and leadership have contributed to improved academic performance and innovation within schools across the district. Awardees received a variety of prizes including deep freezers, television sets, refrigerators, cash awards, and citations as a morale booster and a demonstration of the importance of education.

Speaking on the theme “Honouring Today, Shaping Tomorrow, Celebrating Excellence,” the District Director of Education, Mr. David Akomea Asokwa, described the ceremony as a timely acknowledgment of teachers’ untiring efforts to enhance teaching and learning and improve literacy levels in the district.
