A General Staff Durbar was held at the forecourt of the Afigya Kwabre South District Assembly on April 9, 2026. The meeting brought together staff from all departments of the Assembly, as well as personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service, particularly from the Mamponteng and Bremang stations.
The durbar provided an open platform for staff to express their concerns and make suggestions through a suggestion box, all of which were duly acknowledged by Management.
Addressing the gathering, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Patricia Pearl Ankrah, emphasized the importance of professionalism and adherence to good work ethics. She expressed concern about certain unacceptable practices, including lateness, absenteeism, and lack of punctuality. She also cautioned staff against the unauthorized use of the Assembly’s letterhead, describing such conduct as inappropriate and unacceptable. She urged all staff to remain committed to their duties and contribute meaningfully towards improving service delivery within the Assembly.

The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Seidu Kamara, commended staff for their cooperation and positive engagement, noting that such teamwork fosters a productive working environment. He further lauded the District Chief Executive for her strong leadership and cordial working relationship with staff.
Mr. Kamara reiterated the need for discipline and punctuality, and cautioned against acts such as impersonation and unauthorized use of official documents. He also emphasized the importance of respecting the Assembly’s organizational structure, advising staff to channel their concerns through the appropriate hierarchy—from Heads of Department to the Coordinating Director, before escalating to the District Chief Executive.
As part of the programme, personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service delivered an informative session on fire safety. They educated staff on preventive measures against fire outbreaks and outlined immediate actions to take in the event of a fire prior to the arrival of emergency responders.
The durbar ended on a positive note, with renewed commitment from staff to uphold discipline, professionalism, and effective service delivery.
