May Day, which is commemorated annually to celebrate workers worldwide for their hard work and contribution to their nation’s development, was also marked at Kodie with patronage from workers from the district assembly, unions, and organisations in the district.
It was a joyous moment for workers of the Afigya Kwabre South District Assembly as they celebrated amidst Disc Jockey (DJ) music.
Exercise books were shared by the CLOSAG executives to some schools within the district a day before Mayday as part of the celebration.
At Kodie the celebration was climaxed with indoor and outdoor games alongside food and drinks. Some staffs were appreciated with awards for their commitment and hardworking toward the district assembly.
Some staff in an interview said that the whole celebration was awesome and showed how united the staff of the assembly was, as workers from all departments and unions came together to have fun.
