SAFER TRADING ENVIRONMENT AHEAD: DCE ENGAGES BUOHO TRADERS ON RELOCATION

On the 4th of March 2026, the DCE engaged traders at Buoho Pentecost Church alongside traditional leaders, Assembly staff, and the Assembly Member for Buoho, Evans Kusi.

During the meeting, the DCE highlighted the dangers of roadside trading, describing it as a major safety risk. She announced plans to relocate the traders to the new Buoho Market within one month, assuring them of improved security and better trading conditions. She also urged traders to cooperate by paying the required fees to secure their stalls.

Traders expressed concerns about the market’s distance from the main road and the incomplete state of some facilities. In response, the DCE reassured them that the relocation is in their best interest, emphasizing safety, improved organization, and the potential for increased patronage over time.

Hon. Evans Kusi also encouraged traders to support the relocation, noting that the new market is more spacious and safer, and assured them that customers will continue to patronize their businesses.
