Another batch of farmers receive coconut seedlings

About 72 Farmers drawn from various communities in the Afigya Kwabre South District were beneficiaries of two thousand (2000) nursed coconut seedlings distributed by the District Assembly in its efforts to boost crop production in the district.


The free distribution is among series of supplies made by the Assembly in recent months in conformity with government’s flagship policies of Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD) and Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ)


Addressing the beneficiaries, the District Director of Agric, Mr Peter Kwame Amoako urged them to strictly adhere to directives by the Agriculture Extension Officers to assist them improve their yields and income as well. He also used the occasion to announce his retirement from the service at the end of October this year.
