The Agric Department of Afigya Kwabre South District Assembly has distributed 1,000 nursed coconut seedlings to a number of farmers drawn from the district to help increase the production of fruit crops in their communities.
The free distribution of the seedlings was in line with government’s flagship programs of Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) and Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD ) aimed at diversifying farmers income through cultivation of cash crops.
