The Afigya Kwabre South District Assembly has confirmed the incumbent District Chief Executive, Hon Adu Poku Christian on the 29th September 2021 at the Kodie Methodist Church.

The president’s nominee for the position of District Chief Executive, Mr. Adu Poku Christian received a 100% endorsement from the Hon Assembly Members. He pulled 38 out of the total 38 valid votes cast by the number present.

In his acceptance speech, the DCE expressed gratitude to Assembly Members for voting for him and reposing confidence in him. He called for unity, co-operation and peace to prevail in the Afigya Kwabre South District.

According to him, he will work hand in hand with the Member of Parliament so that the needs of the people in the district are addressed properly.

He promised that in his second term, he will make sure all roads under construction in the district are completed.

The chief of Apagya, Nana Owusu Peprah II said the election of the DCE was unprecedented and thanked Assembly Members for giving the DCE 100% endorsement.

He called for unity among the Assembly Members and advised the DCE to continue his good works, which will bring development to the district.

Other dignitaries present were Hon Owuraku Aidoo (MP), Traditional Authorities, Party Faithfuls and Heads of Department.
