{"id":4713,"date":"2026-03-09T13:19:10","date_gmt":"2026-03-09T13:19:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aksda.gov.gh\/?p=4713"},"modified":"2026-04-16T15:05:03","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T15:05:03","slug":"4713","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/aksda.gov.gh\/index.php\/2026\/03\/09\/4713\/","title":{"rendered":"AKSDA CELEBRATES GHANA\u2019S 69TH INDEPENDENCE DAY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"61\" data-end=\"288\">The Afigya Kwabre South District Assembly marked Ghana\u2019s 69th Independence Day with a colourful ceremony at the District Education Office in Kodie, bringing together Assembly staff, education officials, students, and residents.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"290\" data-end=\"672\">A key highlight of the event was a quiz competition among selected junior high schools to promote academic excellence. <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">God Is Able JHS<\/span><\/span> emerged as winners with 50.5 points, followed by <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Hemang Methodist Model JHS<\/span><\/span> in second place with 46 points, and <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Good Foundation School JHS<\/span><\/span> in third place with 42 points. All participants received prizes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"674\" data-end=\"1005\">Speaking at the event, the District Coordinating Director, Mr. <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Baba Kamara<\/span><\/span>, stated that the celebration aimed to promote academic excellence and student participation in national events under the theme <em data-start=\"898\" data-end=\"938\">\u201cBuilding Prosperity, Restoring Hope.\u201d<\/em> He emphasized the importance of education in national development.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1007\" data-end=\"1215\">The District Education Director, Mr. <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">David Akomea Asokwa<\/span><\/span>, encouraged students to take their education seriously and highlighted the need for Ghana to achieve economic and political independence.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1217\" data-end=\"1473\">The District Chief Executive, Hon. <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Patricia Pearl Ankrah<\/span><\/span>, urged students to embrace innovation and called for unity in advancing education, agriculture, and economic growth. She also commended teachers and security agencies for their dedication.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1475\" data-end=\"1589\">The event concluded with a joyful atmosphere as participants interacted and took
