Led by the District Chief Executive Hon Adu-Poku Christian, the Assembly on the 10th October, 2023 held a Budget Hearing for all stakeholders at Atwima Nwabiagya North Municipal Assembly Hall.<\/div>\n

In his welcome address, Hon. APC highlighted on key issues in the District, which needed attention. Amongst them are poor feeder road network, inadequate SHS, dilapidated area Council offices, high unskilled labor force, high youth unemployment, no final refuse disposal site, high TB cases, administrative boundary issue, irregular flow of funds for developmental projects, as well as other pertinent issues.<\/div>\n

Meanwhile, he seized the opportunity to emphasize on the adopted policy objectives to address the menace. Hon. APC stated the implementation of social protection systems and measures, ensuring PWD enjoyed all benefits of Ghana citizenship.<\/div>\n

The District Budget Officer, Mr. Samuel Bekoe, also took part in the presentation whilst highlighting other significant aspect of the Hearing. He made a brief presentation on the financial performance on revenue and expenditure from 2021 to 2023, but took additional time to highlight some key achievements of 2023 which included:<\/div>\n

  • Constructed phase 1of 3 storey polyclinic at Atimatim (completed)<\/span><\/li>\n
  • 3-Storey Clinic at Wioso constructed (Plastering)<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Renovated skills training centre at kodie (finishing)<\/li>\n
  • Completed 2No area Councils (finishing)<\/li>\n
  • Constructed 20 seater WC and urinal at Aduman SHS (finishing)<\/li>\n
  • Renovated a classroom block at Krobo (roofing)<\/li>\n
  • Constructed 1No2units KG block with ancillary facilities at Apagya (completed)<\/li>\n
  • Constructed 1No9unit classroom block at Afrancho (substructure)<\/li>\n
  • Mock exams sponsored by Assembly Quarry Fund<\/li>\n
  • Dual Desk distributed to some schools in the District<\/li>\n
  • Awards organised by the Assembly to honour Covid-19 Frontline Workers in the District.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n

    The purpose of the Budget Hearing was to review the Assembly’s 2023 Composite Budget Hearing, Revenue and Expenditure, the evaluation of progress, and the target set, fee fixing resolution, taking into cognisance government policies and strategies and the Budget Preparation Guidelines made by the Ministry of Finance.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
