The Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development,Hon. Augustine Collins Ntim has declared steps would be taken to ensure Afigya kwabre South District is elevated to Municipality status.
The Deputy Minister who was undertaking a working tour of Municipal and District Assemblies in Ashanti Region to assess their performance in notable areas like Agriculture, Health and Education to ascertain that they deliver on their mandate.
Presentation were also made by the Directors of Agriculture, Health and Education.
Hon. Collins Ntim who doubles as the MP and Deputy Minister was highly impressed with the overall performance of the District Assembly but remarked there was still room for improvement.
